About Us
The two principal shareholders of the business first met in 1991 and have worked closely together ever since. Between them they have been involved in the building services commissioning industry for 56 years to date so you can count on their experience.
Our Staff
We recognise that our staff are the cornerstone of our business. We offer on-going training to ensure they are kept abreast of the latest technical changes within the built environment. We encourage our employees to continue with their personal development throughout their careers.
We also care about their health too and plan to offer the cycle to work scheme to all employees by the end of 2013. Already in place is the option to claim for business mileage completed by bicycle.
Accreditation
We are full corporate members of the Commissioning Specialists Association - CSA.
We are members of The Building Services Research and Information Association – BSRIA.
Health & Safety and the wellbeing of our staff and people we come into contact with are paramount to our business. We are accredited to Construction Health & Safety – CHAS and maintain corporate membership of the Royal Society for the prevention of accidents – RoSPA.
Insurance
We maintain Employers Liability to the value of £10,000,000 and Public Liability to £5,000,000.
Financial
We are an incorporated company (registration number 06591764) whose shares are owned exclusively by the directors. We practice a sensible fiscal policy which has enabled us to purchase the freehold of our headquarters building.
We have no external borrowing and are capable of self-financing the largest of projects, in excess of seven figures if required. In today’s unsettled economic times our clients can be assured of our financial wellbeing.
Environment
Protecting the finite natural resources of our environment is what we are in business for. Proficient, professional commissioning is proven to reduce energy usage and in turn our carbon footprint. Although our own offices are fully air-conditioned it is switched on very rarely. We encourage our staff to open windows for natural ventilation, turn lights and monitors off when work stations are not occupied. All staff have access to our internal servers for the filing of test data, timesheets, etc. which reduces paper waste. We are always open to suggestions of how to reduce our energy consumption.
